503 Service Unavailable responses for API requests with payloads

Between 1700 and 1725 on Sat 26th Feb, our API edge gateway returned 503 Service Unavailable responses to API requests including a request body (payload). This service interruption was caused by an update during routing maintenance. The issue was quickly resolved and normal service was restored. Apologies to all affected customers.
